This Week's Story

The Tiger Who Came to Tea

Our story this week was The Tiger Who Came to Tea, by Judith Kerr.
You can listen to the story by watching our video below.

Home Learning Ideas
When you’ve listened to the story, try to answer some of the questions below.
  • How would you feel if a tiger came to your door and asked to come in for tea?
  • What would you do?
  • Do you think that your Mummy or Daddy would let the tiger in?
  • Would you let the tiger eat all the food and drink all the drink?
  • Is the tiger a good guest?
  • How would the tiger behave differently if he was a good guest?
  • Who would you invite to your own tea party?
  • What do you think would happen at your tea party?
  • If you could go out to a restaurant and order anything at all, what would you order?

Courgettes!

This week in Nursery we have been exploring the garden and checking on the tomato and courgette seeds that we planted in March.  The plants have grown so big, and one of the courgettes was enormous!  We picked it, cooked it and ate it. Click on the images below to see a larger version.
Home Learning Idea
At home, you could try growing some seeds.  You don’t need a garden, you could just take the seeds out of a tomato or an apple, or anything that you enjoy eating, plant them in a pot with some soil and see what happens if you look after them carefully.  What do seeds need to grow?  You could take some photos or draw a picture as your seed grows.

Father's Day 21st June 2020

We also made cards for Father’s Day.  We made hand prints and enjoyed painting, collage, anything we wanted to do.  What kind of things have you made at home?  You could send us some photos to show us what you’ve been doing at home.
