Our Aims

Picture
We aim to :
  • Freely use challenging play to maximize learning potential.
  • Promote learning through the unique setting and a balanced child centred curriculum.
  • Ensure success for every pupil through quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Support the child’s well being through the provision of an extended day.
  • Support the well being of all stake holders through a well resourced school and a sharing team.
  • Embrace the diversity of the school through involvement in the wider community

Learning through Playing

We aim to give children the best start in life , to encourage them to explore their own interests and develop new skills in a friendly, fun and safe environment.
Children can spend extended periods of time on one activity depending on their interest and enthusiasm.

Young children learn best by doing, playing and talking. Through well planned play activities in a secure setting children are able to:
  • Explore and investigate new experiences, ideas and feelings
  • Practice skills and develop their ideas
  • Set themselves challenges and learn from their mistakes
  • Think creatively and imaginatively
  • Develop confidence and independence
  • Be alone or alongside others, sharing and co-operating
  • Talk freely with others, sharing their ideas, feelings and experiences.
